Techniques

Swedish Massage
The most common form of massage. A system of smooth, definitive strokes and gentle kneading to induce relaxation of the muscles and connective tissue and an enhanced feeling of well-being.

Therapeutic Massage
Works into deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to smooth and separate muscle fibers and break up scar tissue for rehabilitative purposes.

Trigger Point/Neuromuscular Therapy
Application of pressure to "trigger points" - painful, irritated areas in muscles, that when released, will restore circulation and proper physiological functioning of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

Sports Massage
For the seasoned sportsman/competitor/player or the weekend athlete. Enhance your workout, increase circulation to aid in the removal of toxins, prevent soreness, and relieve muscle spasms with sports massage.

A regular program of massage therapy can help your body prevent injury, recover from the stresses of exercise, facilitate conditioning and aid in injury recovery.

Hot Stone Massage
A soothing 80 minute massage combined with heated stones. The stones are smooth basalt lava stones heated and incorporated into a massage. The heated stones help loosen tight muscles and relieve stress.

Thai Massage
Like having yoga done to your body, Thai massage focuses on muscle stretching, joint release and emphasis on breath. The benefits include flexibility, internal organ massage, oxygenation of the blood, mobilization, postural alignment, quieting of the mind, and deep relaxation.

Shiatsu
A Chinese theory massage, Shiatsu uses pressure technique and stretching that works with the qi meridians of the body to unblock energy blockages and reintroduce the optimal flow of qi. Both Thai massage and Shiatsu are performed on a floor mat while the client is dressed in loose comfortable clothing.
